Real Time and Radio Italia celebrate International Women’s Day with a musical event dedicated to female artists.

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Real Time and Radio Italia have launched the project “Donne in musica” (Women in Music), which combines the power and beauty of music with the stories of three great Italian artists: Alessandra Amoroso, Emma, and Fiorella Mannoia, who will be interviewed by Radio Italia presenters. The special interviews, each lasting 30 minutes, will be broadcasted on Friday, March 8th on Real Time and simultaneously on Radio Italia, Radio Italia TV, and radioitalia.it.

Starting at 11 am, Fiorella Mannoia will be interviewed by Paoletta, followed by Alessandra Amoroso with Manola Moslehi at 3 pm, and Emma with Daniela Cappelletti at 7 pm. The artists, accompanied by the presenters, will have the opportunity to share their experiences as women, including their choice of four Italian songs each, which will be played between the interviews. These songs will serve as a starting point to address specific themes such as gender inequality and violence and shed light on what it means to be a woman in today’s world. Throughout the special interviews with the artists, the importance of the helpline number 1522, which aids in cases of violence and stalking, will be emphasized. This helpline is operated by the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

“As much as we focus on physical appearance and external factors, we should pay more attention to our minds. In my opinion, there should be more psychological support because everything starts from within,” stated Alessandra Amoroso. Emma believes that “the problem is not about men or women. The problem is that this society consists of very fragile individuals, lacking emotional education, love, and respect. There are foundational elements missing, both in men and women. Therefore, we should stop talking about a male world and a female world, and start discussing the emotional shortcomings of our society.” Lastly, Fiorella Mannoia emphasized the need for a law, assistance, projects, and support for anti-violence centers, as well as finding housing and employment opportunities for women who have experienced violence.

This event aims to highlight the importance of women’s voices in the music industry and bring attention to the struggles they face in society. By sharing their personal experiences and perspectives, Alessandra Amoroso, Emma, and Fiorella Mannoia are contributing to the ongoing dialogue on gender equality and the empowerment of women. Tune in on March 8th to Real Time and Radio Italia to celebrate International Women’s Day with these talented artists.
