The Flash, with Ezra Miller, premieres on Sky
From the DC Universe, The Flash by Andy Muschietti with Ezra Miller as Barry Allen in the first standalone film about the superhero. It premieres on Monday, March 18th at 9:15pm on Sky Cinema Uno (and at 9:45pm on Sky Cinema Collection – DC Superheroes), streaming only on Now and available on demand. The film will also be available on demand in 4K on Sky. The cast includes, among others, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck.
In The Flash, worlds collide when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time and change past events. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality where General Zod (Shannon) has returned, threatening destruction, and without any superheroes to turn to. Barry’s only hope is to bring a decidedly different Batman (Keaton) out of retirement to save an imprisoned Kryptonian… Ultimately, in order to save the world he finds himself in and return to the future he knows, Barry’s only hope is to run for his life.
From Saturday, March 16th to Sunday, March 24th, Sky Cinema Collection – DC Superheroes dedicates a collection to the DC Comics universe with films featuring beloved heroes like Batman and Superman, as well as their antagonists. Among the 23 titles are the second comic book film about the DC superhero, played by Zachary Levi, Shazam! Fury of the Gods; the seven films dedicated to the Dark Knight, including two directed by Tim Burton (Batman, Batman Returns) with Michael Keaton, two directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin), and three chapters directed by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises); also included are the first two films featuring Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel, Superman and Superman II; and Zack Snyder’s film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.
