Gian Mattia Bazzoli assumes the direction of Focus – Books
Starting from Monday, April 22nd, Gian Mattia Bazzoli will be the new Editor-in-Chief of Focus, the Mondadori Group brand that is a reference point for scientific dissemination and entertainment.

In continuity with the previous director Raffaele Leone, Gian Mattia Bazzoli will continue the strategy of enhancing the Focus system thanks to a wide range of content and attention to current topics, accompanied by a scientific approach and rigorous analysis of facts.

Milanese, 53 years old, Bazzoli holds a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. After gaining experience in communication and working as a specialized editor in science, health, current affairs, and economics, he joined Focus in 2001 with responsibility for the magazine’s website. Throughout his professional career, he has mainly focused on scientific dissemination on the web and social media, contributing to the growth of the brand across various platforms. In 2018, he was appointed Deputy Director of Focus and Focus Storia. Since 2021, he has been involved in the organization of Focus Live, the major event focused on scientific dissemination held every year at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, which attracted 18,000 participants in the last edition.

Over the years, Bazzoli has gained a deep understanding of the Focus brand and its audience by collaborating with the four directors who preceded him.
