Valentina Cortellesi is back on set as Inspector Petra in the new Sky series

After the extraordinary international success of “C’è Ancora Domani”, Paola Cortellesi returns to the set for the first time to film the third season of “Petra,” which begins on May 13th in Genoa. She is accompanied by the ever-present Andrea Pennacchi in the role of Deputy Inspector Antonio Monte.

Petra Delicato returns to action with two new stories, produced by Sky and Cattleya, as part of ITV Studios, in collaboration with Beta Film and the Ministry of Culture – General Directorate of Cinema and Audiovisual – directed by Maria Sole Tognazzi. The two new stories of this third season are written by Giulia Calenda, Furio Andreotti, Ilaria Macchia, with the collaboration of Paola Cortellesi for the screenplay, and are based on the works of Alicia Giménez-Bartlett – “Il silenzio dei chiostri” and “Gli onori di casa” – both published in Italy by Sellerio.

In this third season, we find an unprecedented Petra Delicato, immersed in a family situation that we could hardly have imagined. However, the changes in her personal life certainly do not prevent her from dedicating herself to her work as a police inspector in Genoa. First, a murder with a theft of a relic inside a convent, then the assassination of an important entrepreneur involved with the mafia, will push Petra and her inseparable Deputy Inspector Antonio Monte to test themselves once again. Among new encounters, professional trips, and old acquaintances, Petra will find herself questioning her future and what could be the next stage of her personal search for happiness.

The filming in Genoa will be supported by the Genova-Liguria Film Commission.
