As 24, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies specializing in fuel distribution and services for transport professionals, has announced the launch of a high-power electric charging station network to support truck drivers in transitioning to carbon neutrality. The announcement was made during the 2024 edition of Transpotec Logitec, the trade fair dedicated to logistics and transportation held at Fieramilano-Rho in Milan.

In line with sustainable transportation, As 24 Italy is investing in the production and commercialization of biofuels such as HVO100, a 100% renewable and sustainable fuel made from plant-based raw materials, waste, and animal fats that significantly reduces environmental impact. Furthermore, the company is implementing the use of sustainable energy sources such as BioGNC and Lng.

“The reduction of environmental impact through increasingly sustainable business development is an extremely relevant and increasingly demanded issue,” commented Marco Cassago, Managing Director of As 24. “We are very happy to continue actively supporting transport professionals in contributing to a successful energy transition. As 24 is expanding its network of stations, reaching important milestones. The ongoing search for low-carbon energy sources will strengthen our position as a partner for more sustainable mobility.”

As 24 has a widespread European network of over 1,600 stations dedicated to heavy vehicles, which is continuously expanding. In Italy, the distribution network has significantly increased in recent years, starting from 50 stations in 2019 to over 150 today.

The launch of this high-power electric charging station network by As 24 represents a major step towards the electrification of the transportation sector. With the increasing demand for sustainable solutions and the need to reduce carbon emissions, this initiative will support truck drivers in their transition towards carbon neutrality.

By investing in the production and commercialization of biofuels like HVO100, As 24 is providing an alternative to traditional fossil fuels for the transport industry. This renewable and sustainable fuel not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also utilizes waste and by-products, contributing to a circular economy.

In addition to biofuels, As 24 is also implementing the use of sustainable energy sources such as BioGNC and Lng. These solutions offer further options for reducing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner and more sustainable transportation system.

The expansion of As 24’s network of charging stations is a testament to the company’s commitment to supporting the transition towards sustainable mobility. By providing more stations throughout Europe, As 24 ensures that truck drivers have access to convenient and reliable charging infrastructure, enabling them to embrace electric vehicles and reduce their environmental impact.

As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, the availability of high-power charging stations becomes increasingly important. The investment by As 24 in these stations demonstrates their understanding of this need and their dedication to meeting the evolving requirements of the transport industry.

Overall, the launch of a high-power electric charging station network by As 24 showcases their commitment to supporting the transition towards carbon neutrality in the transport sector. With their expanding network of stations and investment in sustainable energy sources, As 24 is playing a vital role in promoting a cleaner and more sustainable future for the transportation industry.
