Geolier and Ultimo Collaborate on a New Single: “L’ultima poesia”

Two icons of the current Italian music scene, two top players in their genre, capable of collecting one success after another: out tonight an hour after midnight “L’ultima poesia” (Warner Music Italy), the new single by Geolier, which sees him together with Ultimo, for an unprecedented collaboration with extraordinary results.

In what seems to be the natural sequel to “I p’ me, tu p’ te”, Geolier’s flow pulls Ultimo’s singer-songwriter soul, to the point of recording his voice for the first time in Neapolitan dialect, thus paying homage to the city that the Roman singer-songwriter has often referred to as his second home, Naples.

An intense track, born out of friendship and mutual respect – which has seen the artists meet frequently between Rome and Naples in recent years – but also from a constant request from both fanbases. An unprecedented feat, in the works since last autumn, marking Ultimo’s new collaboration with an Italian artist after 6 years. It has been expected by the media since May of last year when – as has happened again in recent weeks – rumors were circulating about a possible hit coming, having seen them together in Naples.

The powerful track, produced by Takagi & Ketra, blends two different but complementary worlds. The two artists contaminate each other, both in melody and in lyrics, for a song that tells the story of the end of a love that one cannot live without.

The announcement of “L’ULTIMA POESIA” comes just a few days after Geolier’s third sold-out concert at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium during a three-day party in Naples. Geolier’s tour, produced by Magellano Concerti, will debut live on June 15 at the Stadio di Messina, then continue on June 21, 22, and 23 at the Stadio di Napoli, and go on until August 16 at the Red Valley, passing through Rock In Roma (June 28), Nosound Fest in Servigliano (June 29), Lucca Summer Festival (July 5), Fiera Milano Live (July 6), Sonic Park in Stupinigi TO (July 12), and Oversound Music Festival in Gallipoli (August 12).
