Morcheeba and Goran Bregovic to perform at the No Borders Music Festival 2024

This year’s No Borders Music Festival, now in its 29th edition, will feature performances by Morcheeba and Goran Bregovic. The festival will take place at the picturesque Laghi di Fusine, located on the border between Italy, Austria, and Slovenia.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, with Morcheeba kicking off the festivities at 2 PM, followed by the energetic Balkan sounds of Goran Bregovic at 4 PM.

Morcheeba, a London-based band with a twenty-year career, is known for their musical evolution. They first rose to fame in 1995 as a trip-hop group and have since embraced various genres, all blended together with their unique style of pop rock, alternative rock, and indie rock. Some of their notable hits include “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day,” “Otherwise,” “The Sea,” and “Be Yourself.”

Goran Bregovic, hailing from the Balkans, combines his roots with a contemporary touch in his compositions. He melds the sounds of Balkan folk music with electronic elements, fast-paced rhythms, and sacred themes, all with a rock twist. His musical journey began at the age of sixteen when he formed his first rock bands in the clubs of Sarajevo. He then spent fifteen years with his group, White Button, releasing thirteen albums that sold over six million copies. In the late ’80s, Bregovic ventured into film music, composing melodies for Emir Kusturica’s third film, “Time of the Gypsies.” In the summer of 1995, Goran returned to the stage and embarked on a European tour with his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra, performing his most beloved songs from “Ederlezi” (Time of the Gypsies) to “In the Death Car” (Arizona Dream) and the spirited “Kalashnikov” (Underground).

The No Borders Music Festival has become a renowned event for music lovers, attracting a diverse audience from different countries. Its unique location, nestled between three nations, adds an extra touch of international flair to the performances. The festival celebrates the power of music to transcend borders and bring people together through its lineup of talented artists from various genres.

Make sure to mark your calendars for July 20th and join Morcheeba and Goran Bregovic at the No Borders Music Festival for an unforgettable day of music and cultural exchange.
